Flag of Chile

Nope, not Chile. But something you might like to know…

Weaving is a craft dating back several centuries in the South American country of Chile. Artists used colors and patterns in their textiles to create geometric motifs that symbolize plants, animals, the elements (such as fire or rain), and spiritual life. Originally made from alpaca and llama fur, these textiles were made from wool after Europeans brought sheep to the region. The craft is traditionally passed down from mother to daughter and is still practiced today.
